RoomSketcher at the NEF Autumn Conference in Oslo, Norway
The Norges Eiendomsmeglerforbund (NEF) Autumn conference was hosted at the Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel in Oslo, next to the stunning Royal Palace with beautiful views across Oslo. This was a two day event from Thursday 20th – Friday 21st November and a highlight on the real estate industry calendar in Norway for it’s 300+ delegates.
Hot Topics at the event
One of the key topics for this year’s event were the upcoming changes to the “Boligsalgsrapport” – the report used in Norway when selling a property. This will be expanded to become more comprehensive in future, including information for example about the humidity levels in wet rooms (bathrooms and laundry rooms). Therefore making it safer for homebuyers to evaluate a property when making a purchase. However, this will inevitably result in additional costs for the real estate agent to produce the report, which will then likely be passed on as an additional cost to the homeseller.
There were a whole host of other presentations and discussions taking place during the two day event, including:
- A presentation from Tormod Boldvik,Chairman at NEF with a status on the organisation now and the plans for the future “NEF 2024”.
- A presentation on the the importance of reputation in the industry for each real estate branch – including the use of customer satisfaction surveys.
- Plus, a detailed discussion on the impact that rentals have on the sale of a property, including the respective tax implications.
The conference was a great opportunity for RoomSketcher to engage with both our customers and partners in the industry and we received a high level of interest from the conference delegates while we demonstrated our unique RoomSketcher Live 3D Floor Plans.
