A brand new name for the best home design app!
Many thousands of people already know (and love) RoomSketcher by its original name of Viseno Home Designer. In the beginning Viseno was used mostly by Norwegians, the country where it was launched in 2007. Today, however, without even trying, we find we are attracting a multitude of enthusiastic users from all over the world!
As our users grow, our free online home design app is just getting better and better. Most people agree it’s the best home design tool ever! But to spread our message worldwide we needed a brand name that was easier to pronounce and a bit more memorable to all nationalities. The word Viseno came from the Norwegian vise noe which means to show something – and that’s what we do, enabling you to visualize your home in 3D. But we found that non-Norwegians had a hard time remembering the name Viseno, and pronouncing it in English can be tricky. Hence, Viseno Home Designer has become RoomSketcher – a name that works across international borders and says exactly what our app does.
Already a user?
If you are already a user of Viseno Home Designer, rest assured that any design projects you have previously saved will all be available to you when you log in to RoomSketcher. Your username and password stay exactly the same – and the app itself still works in the same easy intuitive way. The only thing we’ve changed is the name!
Existing company users
If you are one of our existing professional partners who currently features the Viseno Home Designer app on your website, don’t worry about regular site visitors being confused by the change of name – because you don’t have to change it.
The app will carry on working exactly the same as before – same button, same link, same easy interface. In short, uninterrupted service and entertainment for your users and customers!

Why change your name of your application?
We change the name because the name Viseno is perceived by many as difficult to pronounce and remember. We want to be the world’s leading 3D home design and floor planning tool, and need a name that works well in Norway and abroad. We therefore change the name of the application to RoomSketcher. The company and partner tools will continue to be named Viseno.
Will it still be free to use?
Yes it is. Normal, non-commercial use will still be free. If you want higher-quality photorealistic images you can upgrade to a VIP license, and if you want to use the images commercially, you can buy a Pro license.
Do I need a new username and password?
No you don’t – you log in using the same username and password that you had before.
Where can I find my old projects?
When you log in with your username and password, choose “Open” in the menu bar and then you can view all your old projects.
