Updating RoomSketcher Subscriptions
More than 10 years since we introduced online payment, we are excited to update our subscriptions to resonate better with how our customers use RoomSketcher.
Since its inception in 2007, RoomSketcher has remained committed to our original vision: empowering both professional and personal users to visualize homes through floor plans and 3D designs.
Today, we are humbled and proud to have garnered the trust of over 7 million people across 178 countries who rely on RoomSketcher daily or for specific projects. Nothing brings us greater joy than hearing the success stories shared by our customers, demonstrating how RoomSketcher enables them to achieve their floor plan goals.
In 2012, we introduced online payments, and since then, the subscriptions themselves have remained the same. That is changing as we move to a more modern system for managing subscriptions and handling payments.
What's Changing
If you are one of those tl;dr types of people, here is a quick overview:
- Moving forward, we will offer three recurring subscriptions: Premium, Pro, and Team.
- Premium is a per-project subscription, providing access to the features Live 3D, Replace Materials, and 2D Floor Plans on one single project.
- Pro gives access to all our professional features and our complete furniture library for one single user.
- Team is for those needing more users or our high-volume customers, as Team offers the best deal for high-volume use.
- Pro and Team come with monthly Credits. These will be replenished on the 1st of every month. Credit Refills will be available for purchase as before.
- We are introducing the option of a monthly billing cycle, with annual billing cycles offering up to 50% discounts.
- All our subscriptions will auto-renew to remove the stress of you having to remember to renew.
Free - Our Pay-as-You-Go Option
We will continue to offer a Free subscription with limited features and furniture so new users can test the drawing capabilities before signing up for a subscription. Many of our high-end features can be purchased on an as-need basis through in-app purchasing. For example, render a floor plan or 3D Photo, or order a floor plan from our expert illustrators. Once you’re convinced, simply buy a subscription to unlock the full power of RoomSketcher.
Premium - Our Single Project Upgrade
Premium is our “per project” subscription and gives you Live 3D, Replace Materials, and 2D Floor Plans for one single project. Premium is ideal for people who have a limited number of projects or who want to try out some of our premium features on a specific project before purchasing an upgrade for the whole account.
Pro - Professional Features on all Your Projects
Pro is packed with our most popular features and is ideal for single business owners delivering floor plans or designs on a repeat basis, as well as personal users who want to take advantage of all our powerful functionality. With our “new” Pro, Credits will be added to your account on the 1st of every month. These Credits are replenished every month as long as your subscription is active, and you can use them to buy whatever you want! Credit Refills will, of course, still be available for purchase.
All New Team Subscription
Our new Team subscription contains all the features of Pro, with the additional benefit of being able to have unlimited users connected to the account and set up multiple company profiles. Like Pro, Team comes with monthly Credits replenished on the 1st of every month. We recommend a Team subscription for high-volume users, as it provides the best deal on Credits. For the Team subscription, we will roll over to a pay-per-user model within the next 6 months - each user will then receive monthly Credits.
Credits - Introducing Monthly Top-Ups
Pro and Team subscriptions will now include a set of monthly Credits that you can use to purchase anything you want within the month. These Credits are replenished on the 1st of every month, and you can use them to create projects, render floor plans and 3D visuals, order floor plans, and more. You can purchase Credit Refills on an as-need basis, and these refilled Credits remain on your account as long as you have an active subscription with us.
Introducing Monthly Billing
Moving forward, we are excited to offer a monthly billing cycle. This is a feature many of our customers have been requesting for a long time. Those of you who prefer an annual billing cycle will enjoy up to 50% discounts compared to choosing monthly.
Who Will Be Affected by the Change?
The changes will go into effect for all new accounts created from June 19, 2023, and for existing accounts when they come up for renewal.
What Do I Need to Do?
If you have an existing RoomSketcher subscription, we won’t make any changes to your current subscription. Once your subscription is up for renewal, simply pick the new plan that is right for you. If you are a high-volume user, we recommend you buy Team, as this will give you the best value for money. You’ll keep your existing Credits, so there is really no risk. If you are close to your renewal date, make sure to update your subscription now so you don’t lose access to your projects. Just sign in to your Web Account, and click <Renew Subscription>.
